Inpatient Psychiatrist

We are currently seeking a compassionate and dedicated Psychiatrist to join our team at a reputable hospital in Denver, CO. As a Psychiatrist, you will have the opportunity to provide exceptional psychiatric care to inpatient patients. No on-call responsibilities

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations to assess patients' mental health status, considering medical history, current symptoms, and psychosocial factors
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans incorporating various therapeutic approaches such as medication management, psychotherapy, and crisis intervention
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to deliver holistic and coordinated care to patients
  • Monitor patients' progress during their inpatient stay and adjust treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding mental health conditions, treatment options, and relapse prevention strategies
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all clinical activities in compliance with legal and regulatory requirements
  • Participate in treatment team meetings, case conferences, and other collaborative activities to promote effective communication and continuity of care
  • Stay updated on the latest research and advancements in the field of psychiatry
  • Supervision is available, but not mandatory
  • On-call coverage is available for additional compensation, but not required

Requirements:

  • Medical degree (MD or DO) and a valid license to practice psychiatry
  • Completion of psychiatry residency training from an accredited program
  • Board certification or eligibility in psychiatry
  • Licensed or interested in obtaining licensure in the state of CO
  • Strong clinical skills and expertise in diagnosing and treating various psychiatric disorders
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, serving a diverse patient population
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to build therapeutic rapport with patients from different backgrounds
  • Commitment to evidence-based practice and continuous quality improvement
  • Willingness to collaborate and contribute to a multidisciplinary team approach to patient care
