Inpatient Psychiatrist

Status: Full-time employment with a W2 arrangement

No on-call duties required


  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients' mental health, including medical history, current symptoms, and psychosocial factors
  • Develop and implement personalized treatment plans that incorporate various therapeutic approaches, such as medication management, psychotherapy, and crisis intervention
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to provide coordinated and holistic care to patients
  • Monitor patients' progress throughout their inpatient stay and adjust treatment plans as needed to ensure optimal outcomes
  • Educate and guide patients and their families on mental health conditions, treatment options, and strategies for preventing relapse
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all clinical activities in compliance with legal and regulatory requirements
  • Participate in treatment team meetings, case conferences, and other collaborative activities to ensure effective communication and continuity of care
  • Stay updated on the latest research and developments in the field of psychiatry
  • Supervision is available but not mandatory
  • On-call coverage is available for an additional stipend but not required


  • Medical degree (MD or DO) and a valid license to practice psychiatry
  • Completion of psychiatry residency training from an accredited program
  • Board certification or eligibility for board certification in psychiatry
  • Licensed in the state of MA to practice, or the willingness to attain licensure
  • Strong clinical skills and expertise in diagnosing and treating a wide range of psychiatric disorders
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a diverse patient population
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to establish therapeutic rapport with patients from different backgrounds
  • Demonstrated commitment to evidence-based practice and continuous quality improvement
  • Willingness to collaborate and contribute to a multidisciplinary team approach to patient care
