Inpatient Psychiatrist

Our client is currently in need of a dedicated and caring Staff Psychiatrist to work in a hospital setting. As a Staff Psychiatrist, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality psychiatric care to patients admitted to our hospital in Cincinnati, OH. Employment Status: Full-time, W2

Schedule:

Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm, with some schedule flexibility

No on-call duties required

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients' mental health, including medical history, current symptoms, and psychosocial factors
  • Develop and implement personalized treatment plans that encompass various therapeutic approaches, such as medication management, psychotherapy, and crisis interventions
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to provide coordinated and holistic care to patients
  • Monitor patients' progress throughout their hospital stay and adjust treatment plans accordingly to achieve optimal outcomes
  • Educate and guide patients and their families on mental health conditions, treatment options, and relapse prevention strategies
  • Accurately and timely document all clinical activities in compliance with legal and regulatory requirements
  • Participate in treatment team meetings, case conferences, and other collaborative activities to ensure effective communication and continuity of care
  • Stay updated on the latest research and developments in the field of psychiatry
  • Supervision is available but not mandatory
  • Optional on-call coverage for an additional stipend

Requirements:

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree with a valid psychiatry license
  • Completion of residency training in an accredited psychiatry program
  • Board certification or eligibility in psychiatry
  • Licensed to practice psychiatry in the state of Ohio or interest in obtaining licensure
  • Strong clinical skills and expertise in diagnosing and treating various psychiatric disorders
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and diverse hospital environment
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to establish therapeutic relationships with patients from diverse backgrounds
  • Commitment to evidence-based practice and continuous quality improvement
  • Willingness to collaborate and contribute to a multidisciplinary approach to patient care
