Inpatient Psychiatrist Hybrid

Employment Status: Full-time, W2

Work Schedule:

Monday through Friday, 8am - 5pm with some flexibility

No on-call duties required

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations to assess patients' mental health, including medical history, current symptoms, and psychosocial factors
  • Develop and implement personalized treatment plans, utilizing various therapeutic approaches such as medication management, psychotherapy, and crisis intervention
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to deliver coordinated and holistic care to patients
  • Monitor patients' progress during their hospital stay and adjust treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding mental health conditions, treatment options, and relapse prevention strategies
  • Accurately and timely document all clinical activities in compliance with legal and regulatory requirements
  • Participate in treatment team meetings, case conferences, and other collaborative activities to ensure effective communication and continuity of care
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest research and advancements in the field of psychiatry
  • Supervision is available but not mandatory
  • On-call coverage is available for additional compensation, but not required

Requirements:

  • Medical degree (MD or DO) and a valid psychiatry license
  • Completion of psychiatry residency from an accredited program
  • Board certification or eligibility in psychiatry
  • Licensed to practice or willing to attain a license in the state of WA
  • Strong clinical skills and expertise in diagnosing and treating a wide range of psychiatric disorders
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a diverse patient population
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, establishing therapeutic connections with patients from diverse backgrounds
  • Dedication to evidence-based practice and continuous quality improvement
  • Willingness to collaborate and contribute to a multidisciplinary approach to patient care
