Inside Sales Manager

Job Title: Inside Sales Manager (Transportation Equipment Manufacturing)
Location: Omaha, NE
Salary: $100-110K plus bonus
Overview of Sales Operations Manager Role: The Inside Sales Manager (Transportation Equipment Manufacturing) is responsible for overseeing and improving all aspects of sales operations, including optimizing customer satisfaction, streamlining processes, and developing the sales team. This role involves overseeing quoting practices, managing the Automated Call Distribution (ACD) systems, and ensuring compliance with procedures and work instructions. Additionally, the Sales Operations Manager plays a key role in providing exceptional customer service to both existing and potential customers, as well as supporting the sales force and intercompany accounts.
Qualifications for the Sales Operations Manager:
  • Bachelor's degree in business or a related field
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Teams
  • Experience with CRM systems (knowledge of SAP is a plus)
  • Strong analytical skills, ability to analyze data and drive strategic improvements
  • Potential for occasional travel to customers or trade shows (less than 10% of total travel)
  • Full-time, in-office attendance at our Omaha, NE location (Monday-Friday)
Responsibilities of the Sales Operations Manager:
  • Lead a team of 10-15 sales professionals, ensuring excellent customer service
  • Manage quoting, call distribution, and address customer escalations
  • Engage in technical sales and quoting in the office
  • Utilize data analytics to optimize sales processes and team performance
  • Recruit, train, and develop a high-performing sales team
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve service and efficiency
  • Ensure adherence to sales procedures and deliver world-class customer service
  • Maintain appropriate staffing levels to handle call volumes and quotes effectively
  • Act as the primary point of contact for complex customer issues, facilitating prompt resolutions
  • Oversee and enhance the effectiveness of the Preferred Customer (‘Platinum’) program
  • Proactively handle customer inquiries, escalations, and internal requests
  • Use data analytics to monitor team efficiency, optimize sales processes, and improve service levels through system enhancements
  • Collaborate with the Customer Care Manager to refine the Automated Call Distribution (ACD) system
  • Enhance the work environment to boost service quality and team productivity
