INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY ATTORNEY

Multiple Locations: Florida, Georgia, California, DC, New Jersey, New York

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Associate to join our prestigious national law firm's Intellectual Property team. The ideal candidate will possess a solid background in patent and trademark prosecution, as well as experience in IP transactions.

Requirements:

• JD from a top-tier law school with a strong academic track record.
• Admission to the Bar in Florida, Georgia, California, DC, New Jersey, or New York, as applicable.
• 2-5 years of relevant professional experience in handling patent and trademark prosecution and IP transactions.
• Preferred: USPTO registration number or eligibility for patent bar.
• Exceptional academic credentials, along with excellent written and verbal communication skills and practical judgment.
• Experience in negotiating and drafting intellectual property transactions and software agreements is a plus.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee day-to-day prosecution dockets and prepare USPTO filings.
• Conduct comprehensive patent and trademark searches, provide clearance opinions/advice, and address office actions responses.
• Draft and negotiate IP transaction and software agreements.
• Perform IP due diligence for M&A transactions and prepare relevant documentation.
• Maintain effective communication with clients and collaborate with other lawyers within the firm.
