Our esteemed client, an influential AmLaw 50 firm, is currently in search of a highly skilled Associate Attorney specializing in International Trade and National Security to join their dynamic Enforcement and Investigations group based in Washington, DC. This well-regarded practice offers strategic counsel to global corporations, financial institutions, and governments concerning compliance with international trade and national security regulations, providing expert guidance to address multifaceted legal and operational challenges. Candidate Profile:

• Holds a Juris Doctorate from a top-tier law school with a commendable academic record.
• Active Bar Admission in DC.
• Class year 2019-2021, possessing considerable experience in the realms of M&A and private equity.
• Demonstrated expertise in CFIUS, sanctions enforcement, and export controls.
• Experience or interest in anti-corruption practices and anti-money laundering compliance is highly valued.
• Outstanding legal writing capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide advisory services to clients on matters of compliance with international trade and national security regulations, encompassing CFIUS, sanctions enforcement, and export controls.
• Counsel clients on measures for preventing bribery and implementing anti-money laundering safeguards, while also offering remedial strategies to ensure compliance.
• Offer guidance on investigative procedures and collaborate with clients to resolve breaches of regulatory requirements.
• Draft, review, and analyze legal documents related to international trade and national security issues.
• Collaborate with a team of accomplished attorneys to deliver inventive solutions within high-pressure regulatory environments.
