Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Interventional Radiologic Technologist to join our imaging team. In this role, you will operate diagnostic imaging equipment and perform specialized interventional procedures in collaboration with physicians, while adhering to professional and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate diagnostic and interventional imaging equipment in accordance with departmental protocols.
- Collaborate with physicians to perform a variety of specialized procedures.
- Position patients appropriately, ensuring comfort and accurate imaging of the area of interest.
- Maintain sterile technique and prevent cross-contamination.
- Practice radiation safety for patients, staff, and self by following proper protocols and PPE usage.
- Respond appropriately to emergent situations and escalate as needed.
- Support other departments or shifts as necessary.
Qualifications:
Education:
- Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
Licensure/Certification:
- Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
- Indiana State Radiology License.
- Current CPR certification.
- Specialty certification encouraged.
Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in interventional procedures preferred.
Additional Requirements:
- Strong knowledge of human anatomy and imaging protocols.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. independently and up to 100 lbs. with assistance.
- Proficient in verbal and written communication and general computer applications.
- Must be able to take call and respond to emergencies.
- Must reside within 30 minutes of Fort Wayne, IN to meet call response requirements.
- Strong critical thinking skills and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
