Inventory Control Manager

Location: Little Rock, AR
JOB SUMMARY

This position is in the Finance department and is responsible for managing the daily operations of the Inventory Control functions. This includes conducting cycle counts of warehouse inventory, investigating suspected out-of-balance items, making corrections to inventory based on research, coordinating special processing of inventory, and performing related tasks.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Efficiently supervise the inventory control, driver check-in, and quality assurance functions. Direct the staff to identify and resolve variances and potential variances to ensure an accurate perpetual inventory count and protect company assets.
  • Develop and implement procedures to achieve the highest levels of inventory accuracy while minimizing shrinkage.
  • Manage the driver check-in function, ensuring the collection and intact deposit of all dues, accounting for all obligations, and accurately adjusting obligations on time.
  • Review daily inventory reports for possible errors and promptly report information to the Finance, Operations, and Merchandise departments.
  • Organize and lead meetings to identify the root causes of shrinkage.
  • Participate in hiring and training inventory associates.
  • Responsible for the performance management and development of inventory associates.
  • Conduct the Product Recall process.
  • Ensure compliance with Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) requirements.
QUALIFICATIONS

Education
  • Preferred: Bachelor's degree.
Experience
  • Required: 3 to 5 years of experience in inventory control management and supervision.
Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations
  • Proper training and licensing in the operation of powered industrial equipment.
  • HACCP Certification required.
Professional Skills
  • Advanced PC skills in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Database concepts.
  • Ability to effectively write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Strong public speaking skills in front of customers or associates.
  • Exemplary listening skills for effective communication.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Fluency in English (reading, writing, and speaking).
