ASSOCIATE ATTORNEY - INVESTMENT FUNDS

Location: Atlanta, GA

We have an exciting opportunity for a highly-qualified and motivated Associate Attorney to join the prestigious Investment Funds practice group of a well-established international firm. This position is based in our Atlanta office.

Qualifications:

• Successful completion of a Juris Doctor (JD) program at a top-tier law school, and a proven academic record.
• Bar Admission in Georgia is required.
• Experience of 3 to 6 years in investment management and Private fund domain (fund formation experience is a must - e.g., private equity, real estate funds, credit funds).
• Excellent interpersonal skills and an entrepreneurial mindset, with the ability to directly engage with clients and contribute to business development initiatives.

Main Responsibilities:

• Provide guidance to clients on the establishment and structure of various investment funds, including private equity, hedge, real estate, private credit, and hybrid funds.
• Participate in projects related to retail alternative funds, such as BDCs, interval funds, and closed-end funds, and have the opportunity to enhance expertise in this area.
• Collaborate with a diverse team to offer comprehensive legal advice to fund sponsors and institutional investors.
• Engage in client-facing roles to cultivate relationships and contribute to the team's business development activities.
• Support the growth of a strategically significant practice area within the firm, contributing to its ongoing success.
