INVESTMENT FUNDS ASSOCIATE
Location: New York, NY or Washington, D.C.

A well-respected AmLaw 50 international firm is in search of a highly-qualified and driven Associate to join their esteemed Investment Funds practice group. This position is open to candidates in New York, NY or Washington, D.C. and centers around managing intricate matters related to the Investment Company Act and Investment Advisers Act.

Candidate Profile:

• Hold a JD from an outstanding law school with excellent academic achievements.
• Admission to the Bar in either New York or Washington, D.C., as applicable.
• Bring a minimum of 4 years of experience handling Investment Company Act and Investment Advisers Act cases.
• Possess essential experience supporting closed-end funds, such as tender offer funds, interval funds, and business development companies.
• An advantage to have experience supporting open-end funds and/or ETFs.
• Show prowess in legal writing, critical analysis, and interpersonal skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Advise clients on matters concerning the Investment Company Act and Investment Advisers Act.
• Provide assistance for various closed-end funds by creating and reviewing crucial fund documents.
• Collaborate closely with a unified team to deliver unparalleled legal solutions for clients.
• Handle affairs related to open-end funds and ETFs, thus contributing to the comprehensive investment funds practice of the firm.
