INVESTMENT FUNDS ASSOCIATE
Location: New York, NY or Washington, D.C.
Our client, an esteemed international firm ranked among the top in the industry, is seeking a highly-qualified and motivated Associate to join their esteemed team specializing in Investment Funds. This role is available to candidates in New York, NY or Washington, D.C., and focuses on dealing with intricate matters related to the Investment Company Act and Investment Advisers Act.
Profile of the Ideal Candidate:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from a prestigious law school with a remarkable academic background.
- Must be admitted to the Bar in either New York or Washington, D.C.
- At least 4 years of experience handling matters pertaining to the Investment Company Act and the Investment Advisers Act.
- Essential experience in supporting closed-end funds, which include tender offer funds, interval funds, and business development companies.
- Experience providing support for open-end funds and/or ETFs is desirable.
- Exceptional skills in legal writing, analysis, and interpersonal communication.
Main Responsibilities:
- Offer advice to clients regarding matters pertaining to the Investment Company Act and Investment Advisers Act.
- Provide assistance for various closed-end funds, including the drafting and negotiation of critical fund documents.
- Collaborate closely with a united team to deliver outstanding legal solutions for clients.
- Handle matters related to open-end funds and ETFs, contributing to the firm's comprehensive expertise in investment funds.
