ASSOCIATE COUNSEL - INVESTMENT FUNDS
Location: New York, NY

A prestigious AmLaw 50 international firm is currently seeking a highly-qualified and motivated Associate Counsel to join their dynamic team in the Investment Funds practice. This position is based in New York, NY and focuses on handling complex legal matters pertaining to the Investment Company Act and Investment Advisers Act.

Desired Candidate:

• Must have obtained a Juris Doctor (JD) degree from a reputable law school and have a commendable academic record.
• Bar Admission in New York is required.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in handling matters related to the Investment Company Act and Investment Advisers Act.
• Strong experience in supporting closed-end funds, including tender offer funds, interval funds, and business development companies, is a must-have.
• Experience supporting open-end funds and/or ETFs is considered an advantage.
• Excellent legal writing, analytical, and interpersonal skills are essential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide legal advice to clients on matters related to the Investment Company Act and Investment Advisers Act.
• Assist with the preparation and negotiation of crucial fund documents for various closed-end funds.
• Collaborate closely with a highly collaborative team to deliver outstanding legal solutions to clients.
• Handle legal matters involving open-end funds and ETFs to contribute to the firm's comprehensive investment funds practice.
