Investment Funds - Mid/Senior Associate

This role demands a strong background in investment management and fund formation, with a preference for candidates with SEC experience.

Profile of the Ideal Candidate:

• The successful candidate will hold a Juris Doctor degree from a prestigious law school with a track record of academic excellence.
• North Carolina bar certification is a requirement.
• Past involvement in investment management and fund formation is essential.
• Prior SEC experience is viewed favorably but not mandatory.
• Proven ability to handle various fund types including private equity, hedge, venture capital, real estate, and hybrid funds, as well as those employing alternative investment strategies such as BDCs, interval funds, and closed-end funds.
• An entrepreneurial mindset and outstanding interpersonal skills are critical for direct client interaction and facilitating business development.

Main Responsibilities:

• Provide support to a dynamic, multi-disciplinary team in overseeing and expanding the investment funds practice.
• Engage directly with clients to offer legal advice and assist with structuring investment products.
• Actively participate in business development initiatives to attract new clients and broaden the firm's presence in the investment funds market.
