IT Project Manager / EBS applications
IT Applications Project Manager - Pittsburgh
Location: Pittsburgh, PA
Salary: $100,000 - $125,000 + Bonus + Full Benefits
Responsibilities
- Managing projects for the Finance applications team in the EBS functional areas of General Ledger, Fixed Assets, Project Accounting, and Accounts Receivable/Credit
- Supervising ongoing improvements, support, and wider integration of assigned EBS modules
- Guiding others in maintaining the existing on-premises systems and technologies.
- Acting as an internal consultant for businesses and various customer groups.
Key Objectives
- Being the primary contact in IT for the assigned EBS applications/functionality.
- Gaining a thorough understanding of the business processes in the assigned area(s); participating in analyzing the customer's processes to identify gaps and opportunities for enhancement.
- Managing reactive support and/or preventive maintenance for systems or technologies in the assigned area(s) of responsibility. Establishing and supporting value-added cross-functional data and system linkages.
- Working closely with customers to develop and maintain a roadmap for future upgrades within the EBS financial applications and successfully implementing these solutions.
- Adhering to IS standards and conventions as well as applicable BU/RU IT standards. Ensuring appropriate methodologies, support processes, and procedures are followed.
- Complying with all guidelines specified in the audit/compliance tool (with a focus on business partnerships, change control, disaster recovery, and security) for the assigned area(s) of responsibility.
- Operating within an offshore model that provides development and/or support solutions in the assigned area(s) of responsibility.
- Pursuing continuous learning to keep up with evolving job requirements, technological advancements, and changes in the organization.
- Leading the discovery, planning, and implementation of process improvements in individual tasks and within the work team.
Qualifications
- Hold a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or a related field from an accredited institution.
- Have at least 5 years of practical experience in Information Technology, including experience with Oracle EBS R12 applications.
- Possess a minimum of 5 years of project management experience, successfully leading small to large projects and demonstrating a solid understanding of project management processes, methodologies, and techniques.
- Must have legal authorization to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required upon hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
- This position requires access to controlled technology, as defined in the Export Administration Regulations (15 C.F.R. §730, et seq.) and/or the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). The qualified candidate must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the relevant government agency. In cases where business demands necessitate, the employer may proceed with candidates who are immediately eligible to access controlled technology.
Preferred Qualifications
- Working knowledge of EBS Finance functional areas including General Ledger, Fixed Assets, Project Accounting, and Accounts Receivable/Credit
- Familiarity with Oracle's EBS R12 architecture gained through prior experience with EBS.
- Understanding of systems analysis, detail design, and programming techniques used in an Oracle EBS R12 environment
- Basic experience with Oracle databases, PL/SQL, and SQL
- Knowledge of governance and change management procedures in an IT environment.
- Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities is a key success factor.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interact with internal and external customers, vendors, other IS professionals, and IT management.
- Capability to provide work direction to offshore project and support resources.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
