Jr. Electrical Engineer (Allen Bradley)

Location: Bettendorf, IA
The team is expanding and is seeking an individual to provide assistance with on-site electrical tasks. This includes activities such as power distribution, PLC programming, data collection, and data analysis. The facility utilizes both the newest models of PLCs as well as older legacy versions. Collaboration is emphasized within the team, with ample support provided. However, we also require someone who is self-motivated and capable of working independently when necessary.
To excel in this role:
You must possess a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field, and have at least 2 years of experience in a manufacturing setting. Familiarity with Allen-Bradley/Rockwell PLC systems is a must. If you lack a degree, practical on-the-job experience will be taken into consideration. Strong project management skills, encompassing all stages of a project, are deemed essential. Additionally, you should be prepared to take a leadership and mentoring role with less experienced colleagues, while also collaborating in cross-functional project teams. You will be involved in developing and implementing preventive maintenance procedures for the plant's electrical and control systems.
The ideal candidate will have knowledge of PLC models such as Allen Bradley ControlLogix, CompactLogix, MicroLogix, SLC, and PLC5. Familiarity with drives (Allen Bradley, Parker/SSD), HMI's (FactoryTalk View), plant floor control networks (Ethernet, ControlNet, DeviceNet, and DH+), power distribution, and general-purpose industrial controls is also desirable.
