Culinary Operations Supervisor
Our partner in San Luis Obispo County, California is currently seeking a dedicated Culinary Operations Supervisor for a permanent position.

Culinary Operations Supervisor Role:
As the Culinary Operations Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing kitchen operations, including staff management, cooking, food prep, sanitation, and inventory control, all in line with the company's standards and objectives. We are seeking an individual with a genuine passion for the culinary arts and a sharp eye for detail.
Serve as a role model for supportive and collaborative leadership, fostering teamwork and cooperation within the kitchen.
Manage and monitor all controllable expenses within budget limits to optimize sales, gross margin, net profit, and minimize shrinkage.
Negotiate favorable pricing, terms, and quality with suppliers.
Adhere to company guidelines and marketing strategies when purchasing food and products.
Ensure accurate and timely receiving of orders by other staff members, following established procedures.
Coordinate with suppliers for handling returns and obtaining credits for returned products.
Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen, display areas, aisles, prep stations, and storage areas.
Conduct routine temperature audits for coolers, as well as saler floor.
Perform equipment checks and promptly report any issues to management.
Conceptualize visually appealing displays of prepared foods.
Set standards for food preparation to meet quality, pricing, margin control, and customer expectations.
Address customer suggestions, comments, and complaints in a timely manner.
Efficiently schedule and manage department staff in compliance with company, state, and federal regulations.
Conduct performance evaluations and provide on-the-job training.
Vigilantly enforce company safety programs and standards.
Assist in maintaining inventory levels and food quality to meet organizational targets.
Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local health and safety regulations.
Flexible availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays when necessary.

Culinary Operations Supervisor Qualifications:
Minimum 3-5 years' experience in food preparation or equivalent field
3 years' minimum experience in team management
Proficient in basic math, weights, and measures
Ability to regularly lift loads up to 50 pounds, and occasionally up to 75 pounds
Comfortable working in a fast-paced kitchen environment
Consistently interacts with customers and co-workers
