Our reputable client, an esteemed law firm listed in the AmLaw 100, is currently seeking a highly motivated Associate Attorney at the Mid-Level to join their Employment, Labor, Benefits, and Immigration Practice Group. In this role, you will primarily focus on handling legal matters pertaining to Workplace Class Action. If you are interested in this opportunity, the position is available in various East Coast offices, namely: Baltimore, Philadelphia, New Jersey, Washington, D.C., or Wilmington.
Candidate Profile:
- You should possess a JD degree from a prestigious law school, displaying a strong academic record.
- A valid Bar Admission in the jurisdiction of practice is obligatory.
- Substantive expertise of 4-6 years in dealing with intricate employment litigation, with a specific focus on the defense of wage and hour class and collective action lawsuits.
- Demonstrated experience in conducting interviews with witnesses and handling depositions is highly essential.
- Experience in trial proceedings is preferred.
- Additional background in advising employers on federal and state employment law compliance, the drafting of workplace policies, and assisting with employment training programs will be advantageous.
- Exceptional research skills and superior writing abilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Efficiently represent employers in complex wage and hour class and collective action lawsuits and other disputes related to employment.
- Conduct interviews with witnesses and effectively manage discovery procedures, including depositions.
- Provide strategic guidance on ensuring compliance with federal and state employment laws.
- Prepare workplace policies and procedures and contribute to client training programs.
- Collaborate with a proficient team of attorneys while maintaining independence in managing assignments.

*In Philadelphia, the target pay for this role ranges from $275,000 to $335,000. The actual pay across all offices will be determined considering various factors, including current business needs, relevant experience, skill sets, and market conditions, among others.*
