Take on challenging employment litigation cases, such as discrimination claims, harassment disputes, and class action lawsuits. Play a pivotal role in preparing for trials and arbitrations, with opportunities to lead from beginning to end.

Expert Advisory Role
Provide valuable guidance on compliance with federal and California employment laws, including ADA/FEHA, FMLA, CFRA, and current COVID-related regulations. Help employers navigate employee relations, disability accommodations, and leave policies effectively.

Labor Relations Exposure
Get involved in labor negotiations, grievances, arbitrations, and administrative hearings, with possibilities to represent clients in cases related to MMBA, PERB, and NLRB.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage all aspects of employment litigation, including pleadings, discovery, and trial or arbitration proceedings.
  • Create and present persuasive motions, including dispositive motions, in state and federal courts.
  • Conduct depositions, interview witnesses, and handle all aspects of discovery.
  • Prepare EEOC position statements, DFEH responses, and other critical compliance documentation.
  • Provide valuable advice to clients regarding employment law compliance, workplace policies, and employee relations.
  • Represent clients in labor disputes, including negotiations, collective bargaining, and administrative proceedings.

Your Qualifications

  • 4-7 years of experience in employment litigation, including trial or arbitration preparation.
  • Extensive knowledge of employment laws in California and federal regulations.
  • Demonstrated ability to draft pleadings, motions, and legal memoranda with outstanding analytical and writing skills.
  • Background in counseling employers on ADA/FEHA, FMLA, CFRA compliance, and wage/hour laws.
  • Experience in labor relations, including grievances, arbitrations, and administrative hearings, would be advantageous.
  • Collaborative mindset, strong work ethic, and a commitment to delivering exceptional client service.

Compensation & Benefits

Salary Range: $160,000 – $200,000
Bonuses: Annual discretionary and billable hours bonuses
Benefits: Comprehensive health insurance, 401(k) with partial match, and profit-sharing
Hybrid Schedule: 3 days in-office, 2 days remote
