Job Description

• Advocate for employers in employment litigation cases, encompassing allegations of discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wage and hour disputes, class and collective actions, and federal/state employment law adherence
• Create drafts for motions, pleadings, and legal memoranda
• Perform legal research and oversee the discovery process
• Conduct depositions and interviews with witnesses
• Offer advice to employers on employment law compliance, including ADA, FMLA, CFRA, and COVID-related regulations, as well as disability accommodations and leave policies
• Possibility of involvement in labor relations, such as labor negotiations, grievances, and arbitrations

Qualifications

• 4-7 years of substantial experience in employment litigation
• Thorough understanding of employment law in California
• Proficiency in legal research, drafting, and managing discovery
• Preference for trial or arbitration experience
• Ability to provide sound advice on federal and state labor laws
• Excellent analytical, research, and writing skills
• Must be admitted to the California Bar
