Our client, a reputable AmLaw 100 firm, is looking for a talented and driven Senior Associate Attorney to join their Labor and Employment Group in San Diego, California. This exciting opportunity is available at their San Diego office.
Candidate Profile:
- JD from a prestigious law school with a strong academic performance.
- Admitted to the California bar.
- 3–5 years of substantial experience in employment litigation, with a desire to engage in trial work.
- Experience in representing employers in wage and hour claims, including wage and hour class action lawsuits.
- Significant experience in transactional employment work, including drafting employment and severance agreements, EEOC position statements, and DFEH responses, as well as conducting witness interviews and depositions.
- Background in counseling employers on federal and state employment law compliance, drafting workplace policies, and assisting clients with employment training programs is a plus.
- Advantageous to have experience in traditional management labor relations.
- Adept in legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Defend employers in complex employment litigation matters, including wage and hour class actions.
- Prepare and draft employment agreements, severance agreements, and workplace policies.
- Advise clients on compliance with federal and California employment laws.
- Represent clients in depositions, witness interviews, and trial preparations.
- Collaborate with a team of experienced attorneys on high-stakes employment cases and transactional matters.
