Registered Professional Land Surveyor 📍 Niceville, FL

We are seeking a Registered Professional Land Surveyor to join our client’s team in Niceville, FL. This is a great opportunity for a skilled and motivated surveyor with experience in industrial, commercial, and site development projects to step into a leadership role within a collaborative and fast-paced environment.

About the Role:
As a Professional Land Surveyor, you will play a key role in managing and directing survey operations, while also supporting the engineering department and mentoring team members. You’ll work closely with clients, contractors, and internal teams to ensure projects are completed accurately, on time, and within budget. Your leadership will help drive the success of the surveying department.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and maintain sketches, maps, reports, and legal descriptions for all survey work

• Verify accuracy of field measurements and calculations for easement and property boundary documentation

• Direct or conduct surveys to establish legal property boundaries based on deeds and title documents

• Record and analyze data including terrain contour, elevation, shape, and location

• Calculate relative positions, property lines, and other topographical features

• Supervise or directly prepare data, charts, plots, and documentation related to surveys

• Schedule and coordinate survey crews and project timelines

• Mentor and develop survey team members, including hiring and coaching

Requirements:

• Registered Professional Land Surveyor (Florida license or ability to obtain)

• 5+ years of experience using AutoCAD and/or surveying software

• 4+ years of general land surveying experience

• Strong analytical and mathematical skills

• Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects under tight deadlines

• Excellent organizational and leadership skills

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team

• Valid driver’s license required
