We are currently hiring for the position of Geodetic Surveyor in our Griffin, GA office.

Experience in handling Industrial, Commercial, and Site Development Projects is a must.

In this role, your responsibilities will include fostering a team-oriented environment by effectively communicating with team members, establishing strong relationships with clients and contractors. You will be responsible for managing the surveying department, providing support to the engineering department, and facilitating the growth and development of team members. Your duties will involve overseeing survey teams, coordinating survey schedules, and hiring, mentoring, and training staff members.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Create and maintain sketches, maps, reports, and legal descriptions of surveys to accurately convey and take responsibility for completed work.
• Ensure the accuracy of survey data, including measurements and calculations performed at survey sites for the purpose of creating easements.
• Direct or conduct surveys to establish legal boundaries for properties based on legal deeds and titles.
• Record survey results, including the size, contour, location, elevation, and dimensions of land or land features.
• Calculate heights, depths, relative positions, property lines, and other characteristics of terrain.
• Prepare or oversee the preparation of all documentation, charts, plots, maps, records, and reports related to surveys.

• Must hold a valid license as a Professional Land Surveyor in the state of Georgia.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience using AutoCAD or other survey software.
• At least 4 years of general land surveying experience.
• Ability to effectively manage multiple projects within budget and schedule constraints.
• Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
• Proficient in managing and organizing surveying tasks and schedules.
• Self-motivated and capable of working independently.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
• License/Certification:
  • Valid Driver's License (Required)
  • Surveyor License (Required)
