Salary: $175,000–$250,000 + Bonus + Full Benefits
Must-Haves:

2–7 years of legal experience focused on land use and CEQA

Strong understanding of California planning, zoning laws, and environmental review processes

Proven experience advising clients on entitlements, regulatory permitting, and compliance

Excellent legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills
-
Land use litigation experience preferred

About the Role:
A respected California law firm is seeking a Land Use & Environmental Associate or Senior Associate to join its established and growing practice. This position offers the opportunity to work on high-profile public and private development projects across the state, tackling some of the most complex land use and environmental matters. Ability to manage multiple projects and thrive in a collaborative team environment
Responsibilities:

Advise clients on CEQA compliance, land use entitlements, and permitting

Draft legal memos, reports, and environmental documents

Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams on large-scale infrastructure and development projects
-
Represent clients before agencies and in administrative or judicial proceedings

Support litigation strategy and case development where applicable
