Senior Superintendent – Ground Up / Upfit / Remodel Retail work

RESPONSIBILITIES:

We have multiple ongoing projects, including remodels, expansions, and ground-up construction in the retail sector. The Superintendent's role includes overseeing all on-site construction activities, managing field and subcontractor personnel, ensuring the project is completed on schedule and within budget, maintaining high-quality standards, coordinating trades, and implementing construction safety practices. The Superintendent also manages the job site office and handles project close-out. We are open to candidates from anywhere in Florida or those willing to travel locally and work some night shifts.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience supervising and coordinating subcontractor trades
• Experience in scheduling, ordering, field supervision, quality control, safety, and production across all construction phases
• Experience with ground-up construction and/or retail upfits for Big Box Retail, Grocery Stores, Strip Malls, etc. (Walmart experience is highly desirable!)

• Knowledge and experience in field supervision, quality control, scheduling, ordering, safety, and production throughout all construction phases

• Preferred OSHA 30-hour Construction Training or ability to obtain upon hire
• Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
• Strong problem-solving, organizational, analytical, and basic mathematical skills
• Self-driven with excellent multitasking abilities and an adaptable attitude in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with customers, contractors, suppliers, and colleagues
• Valid Driver’s License with reliable transportation and willingness to travel
