Senior SailPoint Developer (IAM - JAVA)

Location: Reston, VA (Hybrid – Onsite 1x/week or less)

What You'll Do

• Develop custom and out-of-the-box integrations to onboard applications to SailPoint, using Java, Python, Beanshell, and related tools.

• Lead the development and optimization of IAM solutions across a hybrid environment (on-prem, cloud, SaaS).

• Design and implement identity solutions including SSO, MFA, IGA, PAM, and integrate with IdPs using SAML, OAuth, OIDC.

• Oversee strategic planning and cross-functional collaboration on IAM architecture and tools.

• Create and maintain detailed system and operational documentation using collaboration tools like Confluence.

• Contribute to Privileged Access Management (PAM) deployments and ensure alignment with frameworks like NIST and CIS.

• Mentor junior engineers, lead technical initiatives, and articulate IAM strategy to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Ideal Profile

• 10+ years of IT experience, with recent, hands-on development in core Java and scripting languages such as Python.

• Extensive experience configuring and onboarding applications (SaaS, cloud, on-prem) with SailPoint—both custom and standard connectors.

• Deep knowledge of IAM protocols and technologies: SAML, OAuth, OIDC, SSO, MFA, PAM.

• Proficient in developing integrations and creating custom connectors within IAM ecosystems.

• Familiar with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; able to engage stakeholders across all levels of the organization.

• SailPoint certifications are a plus.

• Must reside within 70 miles of Reston, VA, or be ready to relocate prior to joining. (Remote work or delayed relocation are not options.)

• U.S. Citizen or Green Card holder preferred; may consider local H-1B transfers.
