Lean Manufacturing Specialist

Location: Mcbee, SC

Responsible for organizing, implementing, and maintaining the flow of production processes.
Identify and propose hands-on process improvements using Lean Manufacturing techniques, focusing on optimizing labor resources, system flow, 5S, and waste reduction.
Enhance existing operations to increase quality, productivity, efficiency, and cost savings.
Facilitate value stream mapping activities.
Investigate operational issues that impact production, provide reports, and recommend solutions.
Provide manufacturing data, such as production control charts, reliability, and process capability, to improve processes and monitor progress towards target outcomes.
Organize meetings with team members to foster growth and collaboration.
Assist in identifying ways to reduce production inefficiencies through recommendations, such as implementing new processes, eliminating waste, or enhancing machinery.
Support the development and documentation of KPIs and systems to drive continuous improvement using Carpenters Operating Model.
Perform other assigned duties and special projects as required.
Must have a BA/BS degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related field.
Prior knowledge and experience with the Toyota Production System is preferred.
Minimum of 3 years of successful lean implementation experience with a proven track record of sustainable results.
Successful candidate must have practical experience in manufacturing/industrial settings with a strong focus on Lean Manufacturing operations.
Demonstrated ability to drive continuous improvement by identifying and eliminating waste using relevant tools and analysis.
Strong coaching, facilitation, and organizational skills with a history of successful change management.
Working knowledge of MS Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Extensive experience in an industrial manufacturing environment is preferred.
Extensive job-related experience with LEAN Operating Model Deployment is preferred.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment with multiple deadlines.
Ideal candidate is proactive, creative, and a hands-on change agent, demonstrates team-building and rapid execution abilities, and is self-motivated with a "can-do" approach to work. Should be a self-starter capable of driving continuous improvement independently with occasional guidance.
Salary: $75,000 - $85,000
