Leveraged Finance Mid-Level Associate Attorney

Our client, a highly respected international law firm ranked in the AmLaw 50, is in search of a highly qualified Leveraged Finance Mid-Level Associate Attorney for their Global Finance team. This team is known for their comprehensive representation of borrowers, lenders, equity investors, and financial advisors. They are consistently recognized as one of the top teams in Nationwide Banking & Finance by Chambers USA. With their unique positioning representing clients across the capital structure, they possess a deep understanding of the latest market trends and deal terms in the leveraged finance industry.

Candidate Profile:

• Holds a JD degree from a top-tier law school with an impressive academic track record.
• Must have active Bar Admission in New York.
• 3–6 years of substantial experience in leveraged finance transactions.
• Brings significant experience in representing borrowers, lenders, private equity sponsors, and/or agents in finance deals, which include domestic and cross-border acquisitions, recapitalizations, and restructurings.
• Preferred exposure to middle market lending and experience in representing alternative financiers, such as business development companies (BDCs), hedge funds, and other non-bank lenders.
• Demonstrates the ability to manage and oversee key aspects of transactions from due diligence to closing, working as part of a deal team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide expert legal advice in a wide range of leveraged finance transactions, collaborating closely with clients on acquisitions, restructurings, and recapitalizations.
• Represent both borrowers and lenders in complex cross-border financing transactions, ensuring compliance with market standards and legal requirements.
• Play a vital role as a member of deal teams, handling responsibilities from initial structuring through transaction completion.
• Work in collaboration with financial advisors, private equity sponsors, and other stakeholders to negotiate and execute successful financing arrangements.
