Job Description

• Take responsibility for the design and analysis of various solar racking structures, such as ground mounts and carports.
• Create detailed drawings and specifications for structural projects, taking into account materials, environmental conditions, and design requirements.
• Perform stability assessments to ensure that structures can withstand wind, seismic activity, and the weight of snow loads.
• Collaborate closely with engineers and drafters to develop safe, innovative, and efficient structural designs.
• Conduct on-site tests to assess the preliminary soil capacity and inspect existing structures to identify any issues or suggest potential improvements.

Qualifications

• Hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering.
• Must have a Professional Engineer (PE) license.
• Prior experience in cold-formed steel design is preferred.
• Familiarity with software such as AutoCAD, RISA 3D, STAAD Pro, Revu Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office is highly desirable.
