About Our Client
Our client is a well-established law firm primarily focused on litigation. With a team of 80 attorneys currently, they have plans to expand to 120 attorneys. The firm specializes in general and complex litigation, employment law, trust & estates, and insurance recovery. They have a collaborative culture, a strong client base, and a robust support structure that encourages partners to grow their client base and work across practice areas. This client is unique in that they have never represented an insurance company, allowing for a fresh approach to litigation with the help of knowledgeable associates and paralegals.

Position: Litigation Principal

Openings: NYC, Philadelphia, Washington, D.C., Stamford, Denver, and Newark.

Job Description

  • Take the lead and manage litigation cases for large clients in various industries
  • Utilize your existing book of business, which generates over $800k in revenue, for client engagements
  • Collaborate with experienced associates, paralegals, and support staff to expand your client base
  • Focus on providing high-quality, hourly-based client work without any contingency cases
  • Opportunity to pursue general litigation or specialized practice areas outside insurance defense
Qualifications
  • Minimum of $800k in portable book of business with a preference for hourly billing
  • Extensive experience in litigation with any focus, except insurance defense
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while leveraging firm resources
  • Strong skills in developing client relationships and generating business
  • JD with active bar admission in relevant jurisdictions
