Job Description

We are looking for a skilled Mechanical Assembly Technician who can build machines, equipment, and their subassemblies following mechanical layout and general assembly layouts. The ideal candidate should be able to work independently without assistance and recognize any problems with designs and parts, taking appropriate corrective actions. Additionally, they should have the ability to recommend improvements and actively participate in problem-solving and continuous improvement efforts.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work on prototypes with minimal engineering and supervision.
• Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability in high-stress and emergency situations, as well as when facing priority changes and new assignments.
• Facilitate the training of new employees.
• Assist in machine setups in the field.
• Produce high-quality work.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Accurately and timely report job-related labor.
• Remain flexible and adaptable in high-stress or emergency situations, as well as with priority changes or new job assignments.
• Promote effective communication within the team.
• Display professionalism when interacting with customers in the plant.
• Learn to consistently produce quality work within specified time frames.
• Complete safety training for the use of overhead cranes and other necessary equipment.
• Adhere to all safety requirements for fall protection.
• Undergo lockout/tag out training and utilize required items when performing lockout.
• Perform any other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

The ideal candidate should have an Associate's degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school. Alternatively, they should have 3 to 5 years of related experience or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Work Environment:

This position involves working in a manufacturing environment. Employees may occasionally be exposed to moving equipment, mechanical parts in motion, and hazards associated with manufacturing processes such as overhead cranes, welding, machining, and painting.

Physical Requirements:

The employee will be regularly required to stand, walk, sit, use hands, reach, talk, hear, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, reach, stretch, and crouch. They must be able to lift or move objects weighing up to 50 pounds. Additionally, the role requires good vision, including close focus, distance vision, peripheral vision, color vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
