Maintenance Planner, Scheduler, Parts Room Superintendent

Responsibilities: This role is responsible for coordinating and overseeing maintenance planning and scheduling for all assets. They will manage the work management process, ensuring accuracy and validity of information, analyzing and updating asset database and maintenance requirements. In particular:

· Collaborates closely with maintenance execution, reliability, and engineering, as well as external departments to ensure efficient and effective work plans.

· Works with maintenance management and staff to schedule and report on asset maintenance, implement software upgrades and enhancements, and make recommendations for process improvements. They will also prioritize and schedule work using Maximo CMMS or other software.

· Reviews and reports on work order status, ensuring data accuracy and providing QA/QC of input data. They will customize the user interface to improve accuracy and completeness, assist in implementing best practices for asset management, and ensure consistent and timely service.

· Coordinates and develops IT interfaces with CMMS software of other departments.

· Prepares maintenance forecast reports using available data, projected planning and scheduling activities, and utilization rates.

· Determines material requirements for maintenance and inspection, coordinating with Procurement and RS&S Operations.

· Participates in budget development and administration, forecasting funds needed for staffing, equipment, materials, and supplies. Monitors and approves expenditures, recommending adjustments as necessary.

· Provides support for work order scheduling and planning, overseeing the entire work order life cycle.

· Tracks and reports metrics tied to planning and scheduling to identify opportunities for improvement.

· Schedules maintenance contract work across the entire organization.

· Conducts performance and business reviews with maintenance contracting companies on a regular basis.

· Collaborates with the CAPEX team to determine manpower needs for projects.

· Ensures contract companies align with corporate standards and requirements.

· Provides monthly KPI reports to the maintenance manager to track performance.

· Specializes in generating reports that reflect project status, statistics, and their impact on production.

· Previous experience in maintaining a parts room.

· Specialized training or education in maintenance is preferred (post-high school).

Requirements: A minimum of 4 years of experience is required, with a Bachelor's degree preferred. Targeted additional experience can be considered in lieu of a degree. Additional requirements include:

  • Previous experience in engaging and managing contractors.
  • Previous experience with CMMS software (Maximo preferred).
  • Previous budgeting experience is preferred.
  • Knowledge and experience with work order generation and life cycle management.
  • Expertise in generating reports that reflect project status, statistics, and their impact on production.
  • Previous experience in maintaining a parts room.
