Maintenance Reliability Engineer

Our client is a key player in global supply chains, specializing in the production and distribution of essential products for various industries including building and construction, fertilizers, plastics, solvents, packaging, paints, coatings, adhesives, and electronics.

 

Salary: $110,000 - $150,000

Location: Philadelphia, PA

The Maintenance Reliability Engineer collaborates closely with field Maintenance Engineers, Project Engineers, personnel in operating areas, and all levels within the Maintenance organization to ensure safe and profitable operations.

 
 
Responsibilities:
  • Analyze equipment failures to identify and eliminate root causes
  • Develop and implement Reliability Control Plans
  • Provide guidance on proper execution and documentation of repair and preventive maintenance (PM) activities for fixed equipment
  • Identify and collaborate with preferred equipment manufacturers, specialists, and technical support consultants
  • Create maintenance job plans for specific repair tasks
  • Maintain and update maintenance documentation (e.g. repair reports, bill of materials, upgrade recommendations) for critical plant equipment
  • Prepare comprehensive technical reports documenting repair actions, failure analyses, equipment and process improvements, and inspection findings
  • Collect, interpret, report, and manage plant reliability metrics
  • Support equipment installations/upgrades by ensuring projects incorporate design-for-maintainability and reliability
  • Develop and maintain job plans for specific repair activities
  • Ideally focus on fixed equipment but open to considering rotating equipment as well

 

Qualifications:

  • BS in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
  • Preferably certified as a Six Sigma Green Belt
  • 5-10+ years of experience in maintenance and/or reliability engineering within the chemical/petrochemical plant industry
  • Nice to have: Experience with SAP work management system and drafting/design software
  • Nice to have: Experience working in a unionized environment
