Maintenance Supervisor (Apartment complex)
Our client is seeking a skilled maintenance supervisor to oversee their 400 unit apartment complex located near Hartford CT.
This is a full-time position with an hourly wage of $31-$33/hr. Compensation is dependent on experience.
Onsite housing is available with a slight deduction in pay for free rent. The employee will only be responsible for utilities and additional fees such as pet rent.
The selected candidate should be willing to be on-call for after-hours and weekend emergencies on a rotational basis.
Candidates must possess a valid driver’s license with valid auto insurance.
We prefer candidates to have at least 2 years of experience in multi-family maintenance, ideally overseeing 300+ units.
Candidates should also have at least 2 years of experience in facility maintenance in a supervisory role.

The Maintenance Supervisor plays a vital role in maintaining the physical condition of the property and equipment. They adhere to company guidelines and standards to protect them from damage, loss, and deterioration. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, a team player, and possesses a strong work ethic.
Responsibilities will include:
- Completing work orders
- Preparing apartments for new tenants
- Reporting to the Property Manager
- Being on-call for emergencies on a rotating schedule
- Following preventive maintenance guidelines
- Managing and supervising the Maintenance Staff
- Maintaining relationships with other staff members
- Maintaining relationships with suppliers, vendors, and professionals serving the Company or property
- Handling HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and appliance service requests

- Climbing stairs, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching or crawling, talking or hearing
- Ability to lift or move up to 100lbs occasionally
Qualifications
- At least 2 years of experience in facility maintenance, preferably in a supervisory role
- At least 2 years of experience in multi-family maintenance
- Valid Driver's License with valid auto insurance
- Strong work ethic
- Excellent customer service skills
- Experience leading a team
- Extensive knowledge of plumbing, appliance repair, water heaters, A/C units, and furnaces
- The ideal candidate should be mechanically inclined, available for on-call duties, and have flexibility to work weekends when necessary.
