Maintenance Technician – 1st shift – valves hydraulics pneumatics
OVERVIEW:
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to join our team in Griffin, GA. As a part of our company, you will have the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology and play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our equipment. This position primarily focuses on hydraulics, pneumatics, and valve maintenance. Work hours for this day shift role are from 6:00 am to 4:30 pm Monday through Thursday.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
In this position, you will be responsible for maintaining, servicing, and troubleshooting equipment and site property. You will make adjustments and perform mechanical and electrical repairs in a safe and efficient manner. Your duties will include:
KEY QUALIFICATIONS:
We are looking for candidates with extensive experience and knowledge in hydraulic and pneumatic systems, particularly with valves. Prior experience with die cast production equipment is highly desirable.
LEVEL I
- Work with pneumatic systems and understand the principles of compressed air.
- Identify the basic components in hydraulic circuits using the principles of hydraulics.
- Understand the schedule rating of pipe and fittings and identify common plumbing fittings.
- Install both 120 and 480 volt circuits and perform other electrical tasks.
LEVEL II
- Troubleshoot air logic systems using schematics.
- Explain the transmission of force and energy in a hydraulic circuit.
- Perform various plumbing tasks, including interpreting isometric drawings and size pumps.
- Install and troubleshoot electric motors and AC/DC drives.
- Perform different welding techniques, such as ARC welding, MIG welding, plasma cutting, and oxy-fuel cutting.
LEVEL III
- Install air logic controls from prints or schematics.
- Troubleshoot hydraulic circuits and explain the functions of various hydraulic components.
- Utilize all fabrication equipment to complete maintenance tasks.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
- Level I - High school diploma or equivalent, or one to two years of related experience.
- Level II - High school diploma or equivalent, or two to four years of related experience.
- Level III - Technical training certificates or Associate's Degree, or six to eight years of related experience.
- Ability to read and interpret documents, write routine reports, and correspondence.
- Ability to perform mathematical calculations and solve problems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
While performing the duties of this job, you will be required to use your hands for various tasks and be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Additionally, you will regularly stand, walk, climb, and stoop, and may occasionally need to work in high, precarious places and in outside weather conditions.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
This position may expose you to a loud work environment and occasional exposure to extreme heat, fumes, or airborne particles. You may also come into contact with toxic or caustic chemicals and experience the risk of electrical shock and vibration.
