Apartment Complex Maintenance Technician

A beautiful 430-unit apartment community in Windsor, CT is currently seeking Maintenance Technicians with prior apartment complex experience to join our team immediately.

Pay: $24–$26/hour

Position Overview:
The Maintenance Technician plays a vital role in maintaining the community’s overall appearance, safety, and comfort. This position involves routine and preventative maintenance, fulfilling service requests, preparing apartments for new residents, and working closely with residents, vendors, and other team members. The Maintenance Technician reports directly to the Maintenance Supervisor.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare vacant apartment homes for new residents by completing necessary repairs

• Complete maintenance work orders in a timely and courteous manner

• Perform regular property inspections and preventative maintenance tasks

• Maintain the cleanliness and appearance of the property grounds

• Respond to service requests involving HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliances, and more

• Collaborate with team members to achieve property goals

• Adhere to all safety guidelines and procedures

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand, walk, sit, reach, handle tools, and perform repetitive motions

• Must be able to climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl

• Must be able to lift or move up to 100 lbs occasionally

Qualifications:

• Strong work ethic and attention to detail

• Valid driver’s license and auto insurance

• Excellent customer service and communication skills

• Previous facilities maintenance experience is a plus

• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening

• Availability for on-call responsibilities (rotating schedule, includes evenings and weekends)
