Maintenance Technicians – 1st and 2nd shift – valves hydraulics pneumatics

Our company, a well-established and leading manufacturer in the industry, is seeking 2 skilled Maintenance Engineers to join our team. One position will be on the day shift and the other on the 2nd shift. These engineers will primarily work with hydraulic, pneumatic, and valve systems. The job location is in southwest suburban Atlanta, GA. We offer an attractive hourly rate, with an additional $1.00 per hour for the 2nd shift. The day shift role is Monday to Thursday, from 6:00 am to 4:30 pm, with overtime paid at time and a half. The main responsibilities include maintaining, servicing, and troubleshooting machinery and property on our site, making adjustments and repairs in a safe and efficient manner.

Key Responsibilities: (The following duties and responsibilities are all essential job functions, as defined by the ADA, except for those that begin with the word "May.") General and other duties as assigned.

We are seeking professionals with substantial experience in working with valves and in-depth knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems. This expertise is crucial for maintaining our die cast production equipment effectively.

Level I

  1. Work with pneumatics and apply principles of compressed air in daily tasks.
  2. Identify the basic components used in hydraulic circuits based on the principles of hydraulics.
  3. Understand the schedule rating of pipe and fittings, identify common plumbing fittings, and complete orders accurately.
  4. Install 120 and 480 volt circuits, perform electrical tasks involving AC and DC power.

Level II (This level includes all Level I responsibilities)

  1. Troubleshoot air logic systems using schematics.
  2. Explain the transmission of force and energy in hydraulic circuits.
  3. Perform various plumbing tasks, including interpreting isometric drawings, sizing pumps, and using plumbing codes.
  4. Install and troubleshoot electric motors and AC/DC drives, use electrical test equipment, and read electrical schematics.
  5. Carry out different types of welding, such as Arc welding, Mig welding, plasma, and oxy-fuel cutting.

Level III (This level includes all Level I & II responsibilities)

  1. Install air logic controls based on prints or schematics.
  2. Troubleshoot hydraulic circuits with various components, such as check valves, accumulators, cylinders, and pressure control valves.
  3. Utilize knowledge of fabrication equipment to complete maintenance tasks.

Requirements:

  1. Level I - High school diploma or general education degree (GED), or One to two years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  1. Level II - High school diploma or general education degree (GED), two to four years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  1. Level III - Technical training certificates or Associates Degree, six to eight years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  1. Ability to read and interpret documents, write routine reports and correspondence.

  1. Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.

  1. Problem-solving skills and ability to collect and analyze data.
