Maintenance Technicians – 1st and 2nd shift – valves hydraulics pneumatics

JOB OVERVIEW:

We are currently seeking 2 Maintenance Technicians (one for the day shift and one for the 2nd shift) to join our major and well-established company in Peachtree City, GA. These positions will primarily focus on hydraulics, pneumatics, and valves. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for maintaining, servicing, and troubleshooting equipment and site property. RESPONSIBILITIES: (Please note that the following responsibilities are essential job functions, as defined by the ADA, unless specified otherwise.)

We are specifically looking for candidates with extensive valve experience involving hydraulics and pneumatics, including the ability to troubleshoot, replace, and rebuild valves. This expertise will be crucial in handling the die cast production equipment in our environment.

Level I

  1. Pneumatics: Utilize pneumatics and understand the principles of compressed air.
  2. Hydraulics: Identify the basic components used in hydraulic circuits based on the principles of hydraulics.
  3. Plumbing: Understand the schedule rating of pipe and fittings, and identify common plumbing fittings and complete orders by name.
  4. Electrical: Install 120 and 480 volt circuits, and perform other electrical tasks including AC and DC power.

Level II (This level includes all Level I responsibilities)

  1. Pneumatics: Troubleshoot air logic systems using schematics.
  2. Hydraulics: Explain the transmission of force and energy in a hydraulic circuit.
  3. Plumbing: Complete plumbing-related tasks such as layout, installation, and interpreting isometric drawings.
  4. Electrical: Wire step-down transformers, read and write electrical schematics, troubleshoot PLC systems, install and troubleshoot electric motors and AC/DC drives, and use electrical test equipment.
  5. Welding: Perform Arc welding, Mig welding, plasma and oxy-fuel cutting.

Level III (This level includes all Level I & II responsibilities)

  1. Pneumatics: Install air logic controls from prints or schematics.
  2. Hydraulic: Troubleshoot hydraulic circuits containing various components like check valves, accumulators, cylinders, flow controls, and pressure control valves.
  3. Fabrication: Use knowledge of all fabrication equipment to complete maintenance tasks.

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  1. Level I - High school diploma or general education degree (GED), or one to two years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  1. Level II - High school diploma or general education degree (GED), two to four years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  1. Level III - Technical training certificates or Associates Degree, six to eight years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  1. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.

  1. Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.

  1. Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to collect data and establish facts.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to handle objects, tools, or controls and talk or hear. The employee frequently needs to stand, walk, reach, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, and may occasionally be required to lift up to 50 lbs.
