We are seeking a skilled and compassionate individual to join our team as a Breast Imaging Technologist. In this role, you will be responsible for performing various radiological procedures specifically focused on the diagnosis and treatment of breast disease. Whether in a fixed or mobile setting, you will work in a lead capacity to produce high-quality radiographic images while providing caring and comforting interactions with patients. Compliance with Mammography Quality Standards Act (MQSA) and FDA regulations for quality control is essential. As a leader within the team, you will also ensure the smooth daily operations of the clinical and technical department. Additionally, you will be responsible for troubleshooting and escalating equipment repair requests.

Description for Internal Candidates

In this role, you will be responsible for performing various radiological procedures specifically focused on the diagnosis and treatment of breast disease. Whether in a fixed or mobile setting, you will work in a lead capacity to produce high-quality radiographic images while providing caring and comforting interactions with patients. Compliance with Mammography Quality Standards Act (MQSA) and FDA regulations for quality control is essential. As a leader within the team, you will also ensure the smooth daily operations of the clinical and technical department. Additionally, you will be responsible for troubleshooting and escalating equipment repair requests. Depending on the location, you may be required to utilize general radiography skills for diagnostic radiology exams, bone densitometry (DEXA), or perform breast-related special procedures in collaboration with physician staff.

Required Qualifications:

  • Successful completion of a formal radiologic technology training program accredited by the American Registry of Radiographic Technologists (ARRT).
  • Current Washington Radiologic Technologist license.
  • National Provider BLS (Basic Life Support) certification from the American Heart Association.
  • Registered Technologist - Radiography by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists upon hire.
  • Registered Technologist - Mammography within 1 year of hire.
  • Minimum of 2 years of full-time experience in mammography.
  • Prior experience in general radiography (location-dependent).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in a lead role.

Position Details:

  • Full-time position, Monday through Friday, day shift.
  • No night or weekend coverage required, and no on-call responsibilities.
  • Work in a primary care facility setting.

As a Breast Imaging Technologist, you will:

  • Independently perform 2-D/3-D screening mammography studies.
  • Conduct all necessary QC testing, data entry, and documentation tasks for mammography tracking.
  • Assist patients throughout their visit, providing compassionate and attentive care.
  • Perform x-ray studies as needed.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $105,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
