What we're looking for:

•We require an RN with a valid Kansas state license, or the ability to obtain one.
•A bachelor's degree from an accredited school of nursing is also necessary.
•You should have at least 5 years of recent experience in a related clinical area of nursing, with a focus on LDRP. OB experience is required, as well as at least 3 years of nursing management experience.
•It's important that you hold certifications in BLS, ACLS, NRP, Fetal Monitoring, and STABLE.

Hours and compensation potential:

•This position is full-time.
•The salary range is between $36/hour and $50/hour, depending on the number of years of experience.
•We offer a comprehensive benefits package, and there may be a possibility of a relocation/sign-on bonus.

What you'll be responsible for:

•As the Manager of Family Birth Suites, you will oversee and coordinate the operations of our Family Birth Suites. Your main focus will be providing nursing services to women during pregnancy, delivery, and the postpartum period.
•You will demonstrate leadership skills by working collaboratively with ancillary nursing and other patient team personnel to maintain high standards of care.
•Adhering to our Simply the Best Standards of Performance will be crucial in your role.
•You will be responsible for selecting, scheduling, and assigning staff, making adjustments to hours and shifts as necessary.
•Coordinating the orientation of new staff and ensuring that the training and education needs of the team are met will be part of your duties.
•You will also be coordinating unit activities and distributing work assignments to staff members.
•Evaluating the activities of the unit to ensure excellent patient care, positive staff relations, and efficient service is essential.
•Developing, implementing, and evaluating unit policies, goals, and objectives will be within your scope of work.
•You will participate in the development and modification of unit programs.
•You will also be involved in infection control, utilization review, and quality assessment activities and analysis.
•Interpreting and enforcing department and institution policies, as well as inspecting and monitoring cleanliness, will be part of your responsibilities.
•Investigating and resolving complaints or referring unusual problems to a superior will be your duty.
•Arranging and organizing daily and monthly department schedules, as well as engaging in studies and investigations related to improving service delivery, will be within your scope.
•Conducting staff meetings to discuss new or modified procedures, policies, and procedures within the department at least 10 times annually, providing documentation of minutes within 2 weeks.
•Assisting in the preparation and maintenance of State and Federal surveys will be part of your responsibility.
•Ensuring compliance with regulatory guidelines appropriate for your area of responsibility, such as OSHA, State, Federal, etc., is crucial.
•You will also serve on various hospital committees.

Additional information:

Our facility is an acute care hospital with under 50 beds operating as a non-profit organization. The current manager will be retiring in the spring. In your role, you will supervise a team of 10 people, with 9 being full-time employees. We have 6 Family Birthing Suites and an average of 220 births per year.
