Managing Attorney – Family Law

Please note that this position requires presence at our office in Townson, MD for five days a week.

Job Description

  • Take charge of and oversee the family law practice, including managing attorneys and staff
  • Supervise case strategies from start to finish, focusing on complex divorce, custody, and support cases
  • Represent clients in court hearings, mediations, and negotiations
  • Ensure utmost client satisfaction and promptly respond to all client communications
  • Establish office policies, procedures, and financial management, including billing and collections
  • Conduct regular team meetings to discuss case progress and enhance office performance

Qualifications

  • Hold a Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
  • Active and in good standing as a member of the Maryland Bar
  • Have at least 8 years of experience in family law, encompassing divorce, custody, and support cases
  • Bring at least 2 years of managerial experience, leading a legal team
  • Possess solid litigation and courtroom skills
  • Demonstrate excellent client communication and relationship management abilities
  • Be a strategic thinker capable of efficiently managing a high caseload
  • Proficient in legal research and case management software
