Managing Director – Internal Audit

We are currently seeking a Chief Internal Auditor to lead our accomplished Internal Audit team in West Los Angeles, CA. This position has become available due to the recent promotion of the previous Chief Internal Auditor to Partner. We offer a hybrid work model that allows for both remote and onsite work, providing flexibility to our team while still catering to our valued clients. Local travel within Los Angeles is required, with an expectation of two days a week for client-facing or office work, and three days a week working from home.
Responsibilities
As the Chief Internal Auditor, you will lead a team of professionals to deliver high-value solutions in areas such as internal auditing, controls assessment, ERM, GRC, business process improvement, anti-fraud, and investigations.
You will oversee all aspects of our Internal Audit Advisory services, ensuring that all engagements meet projected metrics and actively seeking opportunities to expand our service offerings and client base.
Qualifications
A bachelor's degree from an accredited institution is required, with a master's or MBA degree in finance, business, engineering, economics, or a related field highly preferred.
A minimum of 10 years of experience in financial external audit and/or internal audit, preferably with a Big-4 or national public accounting firm. We will also consider candidates with less than three years out of public accounting.
CPA, Chartered Accountant, and/or CIA/CISA certification is required.
You should have a proven track record of delivering internal audit advisory engagements to clients across diverse industries within a professional services capacity.
You must have executive presence and the ability to serve as the primary contact on assigned engagements.
Being able to generate new business by cultivating existing relationships and developing new ones through various efforts is crucial.
You should be capable of cross-selling other firm services in areas such as Accounting and Transaction Advisory Services, Compliance and Risk Advisory Services, and Information Technology Advisory Services.
You must thrive in high-pressure and fast-paced environments, adapting quickly to unexpected changes in timelines, deadlines, and scope of work.
You should have demonstrated experience in managing staffing, client relationships, and projects on a day-to-day basis.
Having a record of effective leadership and management in a growing professional services organization is essential.
Pay and Benefits
You will work a 40-50 hour week.

The base pay for this position is $201,000-$214,000.
In addition to the base pay, you will be eligible for sales commissions and performance bonuses.
