Managing Director – Internal Audit

We are currently seeking a talented individual to join our dynamic Internal Audit team in Los Angeles as the Director of Internal Audit. This opportunity has arisen due to the promotion of the previous Director to a Partner position. The role offers a hybrid work arrangement, allowing you to maintain the flexibility you've become accustomed to while also providing on-site services to our valued clients within Los Angeles. This position requires two days per week of client-facing or in-office work and three days per week of remote work.
Responsibilities
As the Director of Internal Audit, you will lead a team of professionals to deliver high-value solutions to our clients in areas such as internal auditing, controls assessment, ERM, GRC, business process improvement, anti-fraud, and investigations.
You will oversee all aspects of our Internal Audit Advisory services, ensuring that all engagements meet projected metrics. Additionally, you will actively seek opportunities to expand and diversify our client base within the Internal Audit Advisory service line.
Qualifications
A bachelor's degree from an accredited institution is required. A master's or MBA degree in finance, business, engineering, economics, or a related field is highly preferred.
You must have a minimum of 10 years of experience in financial external audit and/or internal audit, preferably with a Big-4 or national public accounting firm. Consideration will also be given to candidates with less than three years since leaving public accounting.
CPA, Chartered Accountant, and/or CIA/CISA certification is required.
You should have a proven track record of delivering internal audit advisory engagements to clients across various industries within a professional services capacity.
You must possess executive presence and the ability to serve as the primary contact for assigned engagements.
The ability to generate new business by cultivating existing relationships and developing new ones through various efforts is essential.
You must be able to cross-sell other services offered by the firm, such as Accounting and Transaction Advisory Services, Compliance and Risk Advisory Services, and Information Technology Advisory Services.
You should thrive in high-pressure and fast-paced environments, adapting quickly to unexpected changes in timelines, deadlines, and scope of work.
Demonstrated experience in managing staffing, client relationships, and projects on a day-to-day basis is required.
You should have a proven record of leadership and effective management within a growing professional services organization.
Pay and Benefits
You will work a 40-50 hour week.

The base pay for this position ranges from $201,000 to $214,000.
In addition to the base pay, we offer sales commissions and performance bonuses.
