Managing Director – Internal Audit

We are currently in search of a skilled professional to serve as the Managing Director of our Internal Audit team in Los Angeles. This position has become available due to the recent promotion of the previous Managing Director to Partner. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work in a hybrid work environment, combining remote work with onsite service provision to our esteemed clients. Local travel within Los Angeles will be required. You will be expected to spend an average of two days per week meeting clients or working in the office, with the remaining three days per week working from home.

Responsibilities

As the Managing Director, you will lead a team of professionals and ensure the delivery of high-value solutions in areas such as internal auditing, controls assessment, ERM, GRC, business process improvement, anti-fraud measures, and investigations.

You will oversee and manage all aspects of our Internal Audit Advisory services, ensuring that each engagement meets the projected metrics and identifying opportunities to expand the services offered and broaden our client base within the Internal Audit Advisory service line.

Qualifications

Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution. Ideally, a Master's or MBA degree in finance, business, engineering, economics, or a related field is highly desirable.

A minimum of 10 years of experience in financial external audit and/or internal audit with a Big-4 or national public accounting firm is required. We also welcome applications from candidates who have been out of public accounting for less than three years.

CPA, Chartered Accountant, and/or CIA/CISA certification is a must.

A proven track record in delivering internal audit advisory engagements to diverse industry clients within a professional services capacity is essential.

You must possess executive presence and the ability to act as the primary contact for assigned engagements.

An aptitude for generating new business through fostering existing relationships and developing new connections through various networking efforts is required.

You should be able to cross-sell other services offered by the firm, such as Accounting and Transaction Advisory Services, Compliance and Risk Advisory Services, and Information Technology Advisory Services.

You must be able to thrive in high-pressure, fast-paced environments and adapt quickly to unexpected changes in timelines, deadlines, and scope of work.

Demonstrated experience in effectively managing staffing, client relationships, and projects on a day-to-day basis is necessary.

You must have a proven record of leadership and effective management in a growing professional services organization.

Pay and Benefits

The position requires a 40-50 hour work week.

Attendance at training events is mandatory to ensure compliance with CPE requirements.

The base pay for this position ranges from $201,000 to $214,000.

In addition to the base pay, there are sales commissions and performance bonuses.
