Managing Director – Internal Audit

We are currently seeking a Director of Internal Auditing to join our high-performing team in Long Beach. This position has become available due to the recent promotion of the previous Director to the role of Partner. We offer a hybrid work environment, allowing you to maintain the flexibility you've become accustomed to while serving our clients both remotely and on-site within the Long Beach area. Travel is limited to the local Los Angeles region. The role involves an average of two days per week of client-facing or in-office work, with the remaining three days spent working from home.

Responsibilities

As the Director of Internal Auditing, you will lead a team of professionals in delivering high-value solutions related to internal auditing, controls assessment, ERM, GRC, business process improvement, anti-fraud, and investigations, among others.

You will oversee all aspects of our Internal Audit Advisory services, ensuring that engagements meet projected/forecasted metrics. Additionally, you will identify opportunities to expand our services and client base in the Internal Audit Advisory service line.

Qualifications

A Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution is required, and a Master's or MBA degree in finance, business, engineering, economics, or a related field is highly preferred.

You must have a minimum of 10 years of experience in financial external audit and/or internal audit, preferably within a Big-4 or national public accounting firm. We will also consider candidates with up to three years of experience outside of public accounting.

CPA, Chartered Accountant, and/or CIA/CISA certification is required.

You should have a proven track record of delivering internal audit advisory engagements to diverse clients in a professional services capacity.

Your executive presence and ability to act as the primary contact on assigned engagements are crucial.

You must be able to generate new business by cultivating existing relationships and developing new ones through various efforts.

You should excel in high-pressure, fast-paced environments and be able to adapt quickly to unexpected changes in timelines, deadlines, and scope of work.

Demonstrated experience in managing staffing, client relationships, and projects on a day-to-day basis is required.

A track record of effective leadership and management within a growing professional services organization is essential.

Pay and Benefits

Workweek: 40-50 hours

Base Salary: $201,000-$214,000

Sales commission and performance bonus in addition to base salary
