Our client is seeking a Production Engineering Manager to oversee and manage all technical aspects of manufacturing at their facility. This well-established company is a provider of agricultural and industrial large equipment.

  • Lead a team of 12 engineers, programmers, and technicians by taking charge of the department's performance, ensuring timely project completion, and offering guidance in design decisions made by the engineering staff.
  • Establish department goals and objectives aligned with overall engineering objectives.
  • Develop training programs, facilitate process improvement teams, and lead continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Review new designs during the product development phase, recommending modifications to optimize costs, ensure quality and safety, and align with production capabilities and limitations.
  • Provide technical engineering support for design and manufacturing issues.
  • Evaluate manufacturing processes for cost effectiveness, productivity, quality, safety, and feasibility. Collaborate with the Director of Operations to prioritize and execute cost reduction projects.
  • Provide prompt response and resolution to safety, quality, and production issues.
  • Oversee investigation, justification, and procurement of all manufacturing assets.
  • Manage plant layout and collaborate with the Director of Operations on necessary construction and plant expansion projects.
  • Act as a liaison between production, design engineering, production and inventory control, and sales to coordinate efficient designs and manufacturing processes.


  • Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in a leadership or managerial role, overseeing engineering professionals in a similar heavy industrial manufacturing environment.
  • Experience in sheet metal manufacturing, including cutting, bending, machining, welding, painting, and assembly.
  • Proficiency in lean manufacturing principles.
