Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or Material Science & Engineering
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing or process engineering role overseeing the fabrication of electronic ceramics or semiconductor materials in an industrial/manufacturing company
  • Ideally, experience in Silicon chip, MEMS, or other sensor manufacturing industries
  • Proven experience in complex electronic and/or sensor manufacturing, with the ability to conduct problem-solving and continuous improvement projects autonomously
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001 quality management system, including SOPs, process control, and change management practices
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in teams
  • Data-driven mindset with expertise in data analysis using advanced Excel or SAS JMP
  • Ability to work legally in the U.S. without sponsorship
  • At least 3 years of process engineering experience overseeing the fabrication of electronic ceramics or semiconductor materials

Responsibilities

  • Establish and control processes, conduct data analysis, troubleshoot issues, and drive continuous improvement in the sensor fabrication areas to ensure high-quality product delivery
  • Take ownership of one or multiple sensor surface etching or polishing processes, focusing on improving process capability, throughput, and cost efficiency
  • Ensure employee and customer safety by conducting safety risk assessments, implementing appropriate engineering controls, and resolving safety risks promptly
  • Lead problem-solving efforts in the process area, addressing issues at a root cause level
  • Collaborate with Production and R&D teams to develop new process capabilities and support the production of cutting-edge CZT sensor products
  • Manage production engineering projects, such as capacity expansion, equipment installation, and process development
  • Work with Test Engineering to analyze test data and enhance sensor performance in downstream processes
  • Identify and implement opportunities for yield and cost improvement in the production process
  • Represent the production team in design reviews to ensure smooth and timely release of new products
  • Monitor process capability metrics and drive improvements where required
  • Develop and document work instructions to facilitate efficient and high-quality product manufacturing
  • Train the production team on the implemented work instructions
  • Create and execute an improvement roadmap for the assigned processes
  • Monitor and report key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure process conformity and stability
  • Coordinate and organize tasks using the Jira project management system
  • Utilize industry best practices, such as lean, SPC, and 6-sigma tools, to deliver results
  • Actively ensure a safe working environment for employees and implement preventative controls
  • Demonstrate the ability to work with and train production operators in new or modified processes and work instructions
