Our client in Cincinnati, OH is seeking a dynamic individual to fill the position of Meat Market Manager. This is a direct hire opportunity.

Job Description:
As the Meat Market Manager, you will be responsible for maintaining full and fresh meat cases, and overseeing the day-to-day operations of the store. You will work closely with market personnel, promote excellent customer service, and contribute to the innovation and implementation of new ideas.
In this role, you will set a positive example for your staff, foster a supportive environment, and engage with both employees and customers. Regularly touring the sales floor, you will address urgent issues promptly and ensure a high level of customer satisfaction.
Your key responsibilities will include supervising the buying, transportation, receiving, unloading, storage, and rotation of meat products to ensure optimal freshness and quality. Additionally, you will evaluate products to ensure they consistently meet our high company standards, and drive sales and profitability through strategic buying, effective merchandising, and exceptional customer service.
Monitoring and managing department expenses, shrink, and waste will also be part of your duties. Your strong meat cutting skills and product knowledge will be essential in this role, and you will utilize hand tools efficiently with above-average knife skills.

Key Responsibilities:
- Use daily sales data to reduce shrink by proper production output.
- Make purchasing decisions based on detailed reports on sales, profits, and trends.
- Train and develop department employees.
- Adhere to all state, local, and company policies and regulations on health and safety.
- Work with leadership to execute and promote company directives and promotions/campaigns.

Job Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED and five or more years of related experience; or an equivalent combination of experience and/or higher education required.
- Food Safety Management certification required.
- Excellent verbal communication skills.
- Prior retail and sales experience.
- Basic computer, math, and data entry skills.
- Ability to work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
