This is a full-time, permanent career opportunity for a Mechanical Engineer Combustion Applications Engineer at a highly regarded industrial manufacturer. The sales applications engineering process is fully automated using industry-specific, internet-based software. Customers input their data through the website, and the software generates quotes, proposals, and follow-ups automatically. This allows the Sales Application Engineers to focus on identifying the best product solutions for customers. The software enables potential customers to receive quotes and proposals within fifteen minutes of providing their information. This role does not require any travel. Your duties and responsibilities will include:
  • Spending approximately 30% of your time on the phone, handling twenty to twenty-five calls daily.
  • Applying your engineering expertise to understand and address customer needs.
  • Investigating and solving customer problems.
  • Utilizing the software throughout the sales process.
  • Analyzing customer requirements and providing suitable alternative proposals to the sales team.
  • Communicating effectively through phone, email, and virtual channels.


Prior experience with combustion would be beneficial. The ideal candidate should possess the following qualifications:

  • A Bachelors Degree in engineering.
  • At least five years of mechanical engineering experience.
  • A strong inclination towards effective verbal communication with customers.
  • A solid mechanical aptitude.
  • At least two years of experience in industrial sales.
  • A stable and impressive work history.
  • Must be a US citizen or a green card holder.
  • Residing within a 45-minute drive from the Richfield area.
