We are currently seeking a full-time Mechanical Design Engineer with expertise in Custom Extruded Plastic Tooling for a rapidly expanding and highly adaptable manufacturing company. Our company is ISO certified and emphasizes staying at the forefront of technology. Our financial stability and diverse customer base across multiple industries worldwide ensure enduring profitability. We pride ourselves on maintaining a clean and employee-friendly work environment, with an average employee tenure of 20 years. Our design process employs MasterCAM and Fusion 360.
This position offers potential for growth into a department head role, should the candidate desire. The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:
- Designing plastic extrusion tooling for profile extrusion, co-extrusion, and tri-extrusion
- Overseeing the design, construction, modification, installation, and maintenance efforts
- Providing assistance to machine operators and machinists
- Adjusting the extrusion tooling as required
- Collaborating with the manufacturing team to troubleshoot and enhance production processes
Qualified candidates should possess the following background:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in plastic extrusion tooling design, specializing in profile extrusion, co-extrusion, and tri-extrusion
- At least 3 years of hands-on extrusion processing experience
- Comprehensive knowledge of extrusion processing techniques
- Stable work history with demonstrable achievements
- Must be a US citizen or possess a Green Card
- Residing within a 45-minute commuting distance
