Our client is seeking a Junior Mechanical Engineer to join their integrated design firm in Columbia, SC. In this role, you will be responsible for HVAC production drawings, plumbing designs, process piping, and fire protection specification sheets. You will collaborate with the Senior Mechanical Engineer and other disciplines to ensure projects meet client expectations.

Job Requirements

  • Experience in Mechanical Engineering design of HVAC and Plumbing systems for industrial and commercial buildings
  • Internship experience or up to 5 years of experience
  • Knowledge of central plants, pumping systems, air handling units, and energy management systems
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD; experience with Revit MEP is a plus
  • Familiarity with energy modeling and construction processes is beneficial
  • Working knowledge of industry software such as Microsoft products and HVAC load calculation programs
  • EIT certification required; desire to earn PE
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET approved university
